The property is a Gregorian house in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. Jonathan explains that the place a lot of history.
The couple opted for prominent windows to allow vast sources of natural light. One of the most attractive original features of the 1963 construction was its garden. The property had sycamore trees and a gorgeous rose garden. Jonathan and Zooey fell in love the moment they set foot on the property. They remarked how much like a park it felt. The trees and the flowers allowed them to name the house Park House.
The Park House is outfitted in "Moroccan fabrics" and "Portuguese tiles" and fabulous earth tones. Since Zooey focused on the interior, Jonathan focused his attention on the architectural design and the home's overall structure.
Zooey is the self-declared chef of the home. Jonathan quips that she requested the largest "kitchen island ever." Well, who doesn't need more space when they cook?
An essential aspect of the house for Jonathan was keeping the original structure of the house. A famous architect in Hollywood society was Gerard Colcord. His designs were utterly classic. Dean Martin and Harrison Ford both have or had properties designed by Colcord. Jonathan wanted to preserve this style. Therefore, Jonathan implemented upgrades and renovations accordingly. The results are stunning!

The Property Brothers have a lot going on! They have a merchandising deal with Kohl's, a lifestyle magazine, podcasts, and their hit TV shows. Even with the addition of little Parker James, we cannot imagine the Scott brothers retiring anytime soon.

However, the show revealed that the brothers hired local contractors to complete the upgrades. That makes sense. The cost and inconvenience of hauling tools and equipment do not seem like a good idea. Why not hire local contractors and pump money into that local economy? Being on the road and filming a TV show is not exactly something contractors do daily.
